Manufacturer suggests replacing the inner sungear bushing when installing this shell. Washer installation is shown. The original metal washer or bearing between the front annulus gear and sungear are not affected. "The Beast" replaces both washer and bearing style shells.Kolene is a high performance steel plate which has a surface treatment that enhances wear and fatigue resistance from 200%-500%. These plates are higher heat resistant and offer increased lubricity. Kolene is a salt bath nitriding process. It is a thermochemical diffusion process, whereby ferrous parts are processed in molten salt with a specific nitrogen potential.  Raybestos Z-Pak is a patented, single-sided clutch system that outperforms OE in torque and heat capacity without coning. The single-sided plate can increase torque capacity and reduce core temperatures for a significant reduction in hot spotting and greater clutch life. It improves clutch life and increases transmission durability. Stage-1 is truly a performance friction. It's not only a racing clutch but can cross over to the heavy duty market with a high mileage durability. It is an economical performance solution offering greater holding capacity, durability, and less wear than other red performance friction plates.
