AOD AODE 4R70W transmissions often experience problems because the intermediate snap ring can blow off during high RPMs. This is a spiral snap ring that is staked to keep the retaining ring in contact with the groove area during high RPM conditions.
- Wrap around spiral retaining ring maintains contact with the groove bottom during high RPM.
- Locking ring prevents ring expansion during high RPM.
- Works with both roller clutch and mechanical diode applications.
